PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary letterpress machine capable of performing additional printing on a web, on which printing has been effected at predetermined intervals, every area having been printed without overlapping the printing which has been effected. SOLUTION: This printing machine comprises a continuously rotating letterpress type form cylinder 3, and a printed matter feed roller 4 adapted to contact with an imaging portion of the form cylinder 3 to be intermittently rotated in synchronism with rotation of the form cylinder 3. Intermittent rotation of the feed roller 4 is effected by control means for starting driving of the printed matter feed roller 4 at a predetermined time every revolution of the form cylinder 3, permitting a sensor 8 to detect a position mark applied on a printed matter 2 which has passed the form cylinder 3, and stopping the printed matter feed roller 4 on the basis of the detected result. |
