PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject woven fabric excellent in dry touch and stretchability by subjecting a woven fabric comprising trilobar fibers and others to crimp development under specified conditions. SOLUTION: A fabric made by weaving (A) filament yarns comprising trilobar fibers each composed of fiber proper 1 consisting of a polyester-based component A1 , having trilobar cross-section with two or more grooves each 1-15μm in depth close to the apex of each projection 2 and a filler 4 consisting of a 2nd polyester-based component B1 higher in alkali dissolvability than the component A1 and filled in the grooves and (B) high-twist filament yarns 10,000-25,000 in twist multiplier K shown by formula I comprising conjugate fibers with crimping potential each composed of a 3rd polyester-based component A2 lower in alkali dissolvability than the component B1 and a 4th polyester-based component A3 lower in alkali dissolvability than the component B1 and differing in hot water shrinkage from the component A2 , in such a weight ratio as to be 0.45-0.85 in R defined by formula II, is subjected to caustic reduction to dissolve and remove the component B1 followed by developing crimps, thus obtaining the objective polyester-based silky woven fabric. |
