PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a nonflammable rope easily prevented from the covering material fraying at its cut end by treatment during its production process without impairing the flexibility of the covering material and core material. SOLUTION: First, plural number of ceramic fiber yarns 2 are entwined together to form a core material 3. Secondly, during feeding the core material 3 in the longer direction of the rope, an adhesive 6 is sprayed in a straight line fashion via a spray nozzle 7 on the surface of the core material 3. Thirdly, plural number of glass fiber yarns 4 are wound around the chore material 3 and knitted in a netty fashion into a covering material 5. Thus, the adhesive 6 is infiltrated into both the ceramic fiber yarns 2 and glass fiber yarns 4, effecting mutual bonding between the core material 3 and the covering material 5 through the adhesive 6 after dried along with mutual bonding of the respective glass fiber yarns 4. Therefore, even in the case of cutting this nonflammable rope 1 at any point, there is no concern for fraying of the covering material 5 at the cut end. |
