ADJUSTMENT OF INK JET HEAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the lowering of the good quality ratio of an ink jet head by stabilizing the jet speed of ink droplets by adjusting the deformation force of an electromechanical converter to adjust the jet speed of ink droplets. SOLUTION: A vibration plate is provided to the upper part of each ink pressure chamber of an ink jet head 1 and a piezoelectric element 7 is fixed to the vibration plate. Polarizing treatment is performed before the piezoelectric element 7 is fixed. When the head 1 is driven, the vibration plate 13 is deformed by the piezoelectric element 7 and the ink of the ink pressure chamber 2 is jetted from an orifice 3. The jet speed of ink is measured and polarization adjusting voltage is applied to the piezoelectric element 7 so that the jet speed becomes a proper value to adjust the polarization of the piezoelectric element 7.
