PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the waste consumption of γ-alumina, to facilitate the application of catalyst liquid to a carrier by checking the viscosity increase of the catalyst liquid, and to improve the activity of a catalyst and the adhesion between catalyst metal and the carrier in the preparation of the catalyst for purifying exhaust gas. SOLUTION: Catalyst liquid which is prepared by adding at least additional γ-alumina to a solution containing platinum in which platinum amine nitrite is dissolved with a nitric acid aqueous solution is applied to a carrier and burned. In this process, after 451-1200g/liter of platinum amine nitrite being added to a nitric acid aqueous solution containing 250-650g/liter of nitric acid, the mixed liquid is dissolved at 85-100 deg.C to prepare a high concentration, low pH platinum solution, and the solution is diluted to prepare the solution containing platinum. |
