PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the solidification of a slurry, to enhance work efficiency and to produce a ceramic resistor having uniform electrical characteristics by replacing magnesium oxide added to a zinc oxide-base resistor. SOLUTION: When powder based on zinc oxide and contg. 3.0-40mol% (in terms of Al2 O3 ) aluminum oxide and 2.0-40mol% (in terms of MgO) magnesium oxide as essential components is mixed, granulated, compacted, fired and attached to an electrode to produce a ceramic resistor, an acidic magnesium compd. is added in the mixing process. |
