PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the life of an automatic leveling device from being shortened and quickly control the illuminating direction of a lighting fixture on a sudden change in the vehicle attitude. SOLUTION: An illuminating direction controller 1 for a vehicular lighting part comprises a vehicle attitude detecting means 3 for detecting the attitude of a vehicle, a speed/acceleration detecting means 4 for detecting the speed or acceleration of the vehicle, a driving means 5 for directing the illumination light of a lighting fixture 6 in a desired direction, and a correction calculating means 2 for calculating depending on a signal from the vehicle attitude detecting means 3 a correction signal to keep the illumination light from the lighting fixture 6 in a predetermined direction and sending the calculated signal to the driving means 5. When the acceleration of the vehicle deviates from a predetermined range, the correction calculating means 2 from that time receives detection signals about vehicle attitudes successively and based on which sends correction signals to keep the illumination light from the lighting fixture 6 in a predetermined direction to the driving means 5 during a fixed period of time to drive the lighting fixture 6 or its component parts, before calculating correction values through the filtering process of the detection signals about vehicle attitudes and upon which sending correction signals to keep the illumination light from the lighting fixture 6 in a predetermined direction to the driving means 5 to drive the lighting fixture 6 or its component parts.
