PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imparting method capable of uniformly imparting a given amount of various processing solutions such as a coating oil solution, a functional sizing agent to improve the weaving properties, etc., to a running thread sheet composed of a great number of threads in line, and an imparting apparatus used in the same method having simple structure and high reliability. SOLUTION: A required processing solution is forcibly fed into an exuding pipe 1 having numerous fine holes 11.11... perforated by irradiation of electron beam, the processing solution is exuded uniformly on the external surface of the pipe 1 through the fine holes 11.11... and this exuding pipe 1 contacts with thread sheet while rotating around the axis. Since the fine holes of this pipe are perforated by irradiation of electron beam, each fine hole is free from flash, etc., the surface of the pipe is extremely smooth and the pipe is excellent in strength and dimensional stability, so that the processing solution can be imparted accurately and uniformly. |
