The invention relates to the manufacture of helmets for aircraft, tank, helicopter pilots etc... and more particularly those comprising a display unit to be very precisely positioned relative to the eyes. The helmet is personalised for one person by an internal personalised cap (34) adapted to the head shape of the person (36). This cap is manufactured by means of a prior reading of the head shape of the user by a contactless measuring device, followed by the manufacture of the cap from this reading. The reading is preferably digitally effected by means of a 3D scanner. This method is much less constraining for the pilot than a direct moulding of the cap on the head. |
