A method of forming a paint film, in which spray painting is performed while active energy rays are applied to a cure type paint composition jetted from a spray gun, and the paint film is subjected to heat curing. The cure type paint composition comprises an epoxy base containing resin (A) and a photosensitive cationic polymerization initiator (B).
