<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten the engagement performance and the release performance of a two-way clutch by making an elastic member function as a cushioning material to soften a collision when an engaging member strikes on one outer peripheral surface of the other inner circunferential surface of an auxiliary torque input member and an output shaft, or when a position control member strikes on the engaging member. SOLUTION: Frictional engagement clutch mechanisms 41..., 51... for connecting an input member 32b and an output shaft 15 with an output member 364 respectively comprise an engaging member 62 interposed between one outer peripheral surface and the other inner circumferential surface of an auxiliary torque input member 32b formed between the input and output members and the output shaft, a position control member 64 connected to a steering handle for positioning the engaging member, and an energizing member 65 for energizing the engaging member toward the position control member. An elastic member 66 is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the engaging member.</p> |
