摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent failure such as cracking from being caused in an iridium layer to be formed as the oxygen-barrier layer by further reducing the generation of thermal stress between the iridium-carbon mixed layer and the carbon based structure used as the base material, at the time of forming an iridium- carbon mixed layer that is used as the undercoat of an oxidation-resistant coating layer and also functions as both a thermal stress relaxation layer and an interfacial adhesion enhancing layer, on the surface of a carbon based structure used as a base material of the objective structure. SOLUTION: At the time of performing the undercoating treatment for oxidation-resistant coating of a carbon based structure used as the base material, a paste which contains iridium and carbon having different physical properties from those of the carbon used as a matrix of the structure, is prepared and thereafter, the surface of the structure is coated with the paste and this coated structure is subjected to heat treatment to form an iridium-carbon mixed layer contg. carbon having different physical properties from those of the carbon used as the matrix of the structure.
