PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve flatness of an abrasive cloth after dressing by rotationally moving the abrasive cloth in the same direction as a dresser grinding wheel and at fixed rotating speed. SOLUTION: At dressing an abrasive cloth 1, a dresser rotation head 5 is rotated while holding a dresser grinding wheel 2, the dresser grinding wheel 2 is positioned directly on the used territory of the abrasive cloth 1, and it is pressed against the abrasive cloth 1 at proper surface pressure. Further the abrasive cloth 1 is rotated in the same direction as that of the dresser grinding wheel 2, and hence dressing of the abrasive is performed so that the sliding distance distribution of the dresser grinding wheel 2 is uniform on the respective positions in the radial direction in the used territory of the abrasive cloth 1. |
