PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent blood and blood plasma from leaking from a branch or bypath connecting part after preclotting during operation by coating a connecting part of a fiber or woven fabric branch or bypath wide a polyester resin. SOLUTION: An artificial blood vessel having a branch or a bypath is such that a basic structure is a woven fabric made of a fiber of polyester resin, and a connecting part of a fiber or woven fabric branch or bypath is coated with a polyester resin. In this case, the polyester resin is thermoplastic polyester, and coating is applied with a polyester resin solution with a density of 10-20wt.%. This artificial blood vessel having a branch or bypath can be used as an artificial blood vessel which has no leakage of blood and blood plasma during operation from the branch or bypath connecting part after preclotting. |
