PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity of image forming by passing a recording material on which an image is formed through a curl correcting means by taking the sufficient long time, and conveying the recording material at high speed to refeed it to an image forming part when image forming is performed by a double-surface mode or a multiple mode. SOLUTION: In a device, a recording material on which an image is formed by image forming parts 14, 17 is conveyed by first conveying parts 16, 18, and the recording material on which the image is formed by the image forming parts is refed to the image forming parts through a second conveying part (23, 24, 26), and curl correction for the recording material is performed by a curl correcting means 25 composed of a roller pair group for forming a conveying passage bent at the intermediate part of the second conveying part. The conveying speed of the second conveying part can be switched to the first speed equal to the conveying speed of the first conveying part and to the second conveying speed higher than the first speed, the first speed is taken until the recording material passes the curl correcting means by the constant length, and the second speed is taken after the passage. |
