The device has a pair of spiral conveyors connected to a plane for feeding the separate workpieces away from the saw (1). The conveyors are located in adjustable fashion in position on the opposite side, and are joined to a controllable drive (10). There are parallel bands (13) at their ends which form a sack-like shape of adjustable height to collect the sawn-off workpieces. The conveyors work intermittently and synchronously with the work cycle of the saw. The frame for the separate workpieces has positioning holes (15) at various heights into which the ends of the bands can be inserted.
