APPARATUS FOR REDUCING VOLUME OF WASTE PLASTIC MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the offensive smell of the gas discharged from a vol. reducing apparatus and suppressing the discharge temp. of gas low by providing an oxidizing part for the oxidizing treatment of exhaust gas and a cooling part cooling oxidized gas to a discharge passage. SOLUTION: A blower 7 is provided to the hot air circulating passage 11 communicating with a treatment container 2 to circulate high temp. gas to the treatment container 2. One end part of a discharge passage 12 is provided so as to communicate with the hot air circulating passage 11 and a part of the circulating high temp. gas is branced to be discharged out of the system as exhaust gas. The exhaust gas is oxidized in the oxidizing part 14 to be subjected to flameless combustion and this oxidized treated gas is cooled in a cooling part 30. For example, this cooling part 30 is constituted so that a liquid passage is provided to the periphery of the discharge pipe 12 and heat exchange is performed between a liquid and the treated gas to cool the treated gas. By this constitution, the discharge temp. of gas can be suppressed low.
