PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily produce a decorative material excellent in surface physical properties and design effect. SOLUTION: A decorative material is produced by a method wherein a pattern layer 3 is printed on raw paper 2 for decorative paper and a first radiation curable resin 4 non-self-adhesive and solid at the normal temp. in an uncured state is subsequently applied to the printed raw paper to impregnate the raw paper and a second radiation curable resin 5 non-self-adhesive and solid at the normal temp. in an uncured state is applied to the impregnated raw paper and recessed parts 6 are formed on the surface of the layer composed of the resin 5 by an embossing roll and the whole is irradiated with ionizing radiation to cure the first and second ionizing radiation curable resins at the same time and color layers 7 are provided in the recessed parts by the wiping processing of ink composed of an ionizing radiation curable resin to be irradiated with ionizing radiation to be cured.
