PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copying machine capable of automatically restarting paper feeding from a paper sheet cassette in which a paper sheet having the size used before interruption of continuous copying. SOLUTION: An image recording device is provided with a paper feeding means automatically selecting routine for selecting a paper feeding cassette storing the paper sheet having the desired size on the basis of a size detecting signal from a size detecting switch for detecting the size of a transfer material or the presence or absence of the transfer material filled in paper feeding cassettes 91 to 94, a RAM for holding the cassette data indicating the selected cassette and the transfer material size data, and a CPU 1 for interrupting the copying operation on the basis of the data that there is no paper sheet from the sensor. The size data stored in the RAM and the size data detected by the detecting switch are compared with each other by the specified priority when continuous copying is restarted after the copying operation of the CPU 1 is interrupted. When the size data coincide with each other in the compared result, paper feeding is restarted from a cassette corresponding to the cassette data stored in the storing means. |
