PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high bulk density detergent composition having a fluidity stabilized with time by admixing a specific amount of a laminar silicate salt powder to a granular detergent containing anα-sulfofatty acid lower alkyl ester salt, a nonionic surfactant and soap in a specific proportion. SOLUTION: This detergent composition is prepared by mixing (D) 0.5-5 pts.wt. of a powder of a laminar silicate salt (for example, sodiumα-disilicate) to 100 pts.wt. of a granular detergent with a bulk density of >=0.6g/ml, comprising (A) a lower alkyl ester salt ofα-sulfofatty acid [suitably a compound of the formula (R<1> is an alkyl; R<2> is a 1-3C alkyl; M is a sodium ion)] in an amount of 2-20wt.%, (B) a nonionic surfactant (for example, of an ethylene oxide adduct prepared by adding 4-50 moles of ethylene oxide to a primary or secondary 8-18C alcohol) in an amount of 1-15wt.%, (C) a soap (for example, sodium laurate) in an amount of 1-10wt.%. The component D is preferably powder-mixed to the granular detergent with a coating drum or in an agitation mixing tank. |
