A locking device for an espagnolette comprises an escutcheon 1, which accommodates a housing 1a for a cylinder lock having a lock cylinder 2 and a core 3. In the escutcheon there is further mounted a square pin 11 for operating the espagnolette. To the square pin can be connected exchangeably usable handles 15; 16; 17, depending on the circumstances prevailing. The carrier member 3a of the cylinder lock acts upon a tumbler element 4, which is rotatable by 90 degrees between its locking and release position. The tumbler element 4 has two peripheral recesses 7; 8. On the square pin 11 there is a disc or plate 12 having a peripheral recess 13. Between the tumbler element 4 and the disc 12 there is a rectilinearly movable intermediate part 20 having a recess 20a, which in the locked position engages in the recess 13,the opposite end edge 20b of the intermediate part bearing against the periphery of the tumbler element 4 such that the intermediate part and hence the disc and the square pin are held fixed. When the tumbler element is unlocked or rotated by 90 degrees anti-clockwise, the intermediate part 20 moves under the influence of the spring 23 towards the tumbler element, whereupon its end 20b adjoining this enters into the recess 7. The projection 20a at the opposite end of the intermediate part departs the recess 13 in the plate 12 and the espagnolette handle 15 can be rotated to unlock the espagnolette. <IMAGE> |
