PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a more excellent anticancer agent capable of suppressing proliferation of cancer cells and having little adverse effects. SOLUTION: This anticancer agent contains antigrowth factor for vascular endothelial cells/vascular permeability factor antibody and mitomycin or cisplatin as effective ingredients. Vascular endothelial growth factor/vascular permeability factor directly act on vascular endothelial cells and vasculizations, i.e., phenomena of proliferation, migration and infiltration to tissues of capillary endothelial cells, are effective for growth of an embryo, wound healing, proliferation of cancer cells. An effective amount administered as a composition comprising the effective amount of vascular endothelial growth factor/vascular permeability factor antibody and the anticancer agent, a suitable diluent and a pharmaceutically usable carrier is 0.1-100mg/kg body weight/day and is administered once to several times a day. |
