To provide a DC solenoid to increase the surface area of plunger that absorbs surface magnetic field, formed by solenoid driving current flowing in wound-type coil of solenoid and led by magnetic field domain of wound-type coil, and to improve absorption efficiency per cross section area of plunger. The solenoid is furnished with a bobbin(21) wherein coil is wound and a plunger(24) which is installed so as to enter freely into a penetration hole(20) formed in the bobbin(21). The plunger(24), which is absorbed inward with the magnetic field formed to the direction of right screw when DC current flows to coil to the direction of right screw, is configured to get multilayered surface from the center. Thereby, it is possible to get a larger absorption efficiency with a same driving current, and to increase absorption power per weight and volume of DC solenoid without the necessity of enlarging the volume of plunger.
