The picture frame has a frame (2) and a thin base (3) that are made in one piece. There is a groove (4) in the inner perimeter of the frame. The frame and base are made of supple flexible and elastic material. A narrow metallic frame (1) is put into the frame during its moulding. It is made of lead or a lead alloy and its four sides have holes, of small diameter, through them. Rods passing through these hold the frame during moulding.
