<p>A high fluence diode laser device (10) is provided which achieves high fluency by carefully designing the mount for the diode bars (26) so as to permit high power and long pulse operation with little temperature rise in the diode laser (12); providing a micro-lens array (32) in front of the diode array (12) to improve brightness; and utilizing non-imaging (i.e., without lenses) optical condenser (38) between the micro-lens array (32) and the target (46) to efficiently transmit light energy from the diode array (12) to a smaller target area.</p> |
