摘要 FIELD: electrical engineering; relay protection for ac power transmission lines. SUBSTANCE: phase-to-ground fault locator has standard series-connected 6-35 kV cubicle equipped with automatic circuit--breaker reset (upon closure) unit and special measuring cubicle with portable cable and screw clamps at output. Measuring cubicle enables setting up circuit by means of appropriate change-over operations in which resistor-limited phase-to-ground fault current can be passed through two phases of line in one of which fault is detected, and this current through each phase can be recorded. Distance to ground fault is determined from recorded data. Cable and screw clamps provide for connecting device to any outgoing feeder line. As an alternative, bypass system of conductors and bypass disconnecting switches may be incorporated in device. EFFECT: improved speed of fault location.
