Regulation of furnace pressure drop and flue temperature difference

The method is applied to a furnace having forced-draught fans (WC1-WC3) in its three flues (K1-K3), and a vacuum gauge (Ph) connected to a set-point controller (RPh). The flues also contain temperature sensors (T1-T3) installed between the fans and electrostatic precipitators. Two of the temperature signals are input to a regulator (Rt1,3) with a difference set-point ( DELTA t), and their average (S2) is input to another regulator (Rt2) with a difference set-point ( DELTA tr). The fan actuators (UW1-UW3) are operated by controllers (Rc1-Rc3) responsive to power meters (M) as well as to sums (S1,S3) of the temperature and vacuum control signals.
