Swimming-shoe with flaps for leg-swimming and breast stroke

The shoe has a pair of flaps in the form of flat triangular fins (1) attached to the two long sides of the shoe. The fins have a top edge tapering from the heel to the toe. The two flaps swivel on each side of the shoe by means of a film hinge or strap hinge (2). The expansion of the flaps' active surface produced by the flow resistance is converted by a stop-piece (3). The heel side (0) of the shoe has a control disc and connectors (4) join the control disc to the flaps.
