Method of coating vehicle floor, especially buses, train carriages, aeroplanes floor with elastomer

A highly-reactive multi-ingredient elastomer is sprayed on in layers. The peripheral edge (3) of the coating is pulled upwards, bridging the joins between the floor and walls or wheel-boxes and forming a trough. Spraying can be done in a criss-cross pattern and at high pressure, typically 200 bar approximately. An unfilled polyurethane elastomer can be used, and chips, which can be coloured, can be scattered over the topmost layer, which can also be coated with aluminium oxide. A coat of matt paint can also be applied to this layer.
