Amplification system for hearing aid input signals

The amplification system has the input signal divided into individual frequency bands fed along respective parallel signal paths (A,..E) for separate processing of each of the frequency bands before re-combining the output signals from the different signal paths. Each of the signal paths is tested with a signal bandwidth of equal to, or less than, an octave for minimising the clutter factor. The start frequency from which the input signals are divided into partial signal bands is pref. variable.
