New hydrophilic tri:glyceride derivative for dubbing leather

Novel hydrophilicised triglycerides (I) are obtained by: (a) reacting 100 wt. parts of a triglyceride of formula (II) with 0.5-3 wt. parts glycerol at elevated temperature in presence of a base; and (b) alkoxylating the product of step (a). A, B , C = optionally hydroxy-substituted 6-24C acyl containing 0-5 double bonds. The preparation process is claimed, as well as the product.
