The synchroniser has a coupling cogging (16) of its shift sleeve (15) with a first group of coupling teeth with sloping locking surfaces and behind each other in a peripheral direction in relation to the central axle (12-12). A second group of coupling teeth has sloping surfaces. The locking cogging (23) has a cavity without cogging. The sloping surfaces of the first group of coupling teeth solely used as blocking surfaces are brought into contact with the end of a sloping surface facing away from the cog wheel (11) and belonging to a tooth of the blocking cogging.
