The invention relates to a monoboard for kitesailing by an operator seating on it. The monoboard has: a combined centre of mass of the board and operator; at least one steerable aft fin arranged on the lower side behind the combined centre of mass; at least one steerable fore fin arranged in front of the combined centre of mass; a steering member arranged for manipulation by the operator; and a linking mechanism linking the steering member, the at least one fore fin and at least one aft fin for positive steering upon manipulation of the steering member. The monoboard can have two of said steerable aft fins arranged symmetrically with respect to the longitudinal axis and/or two of said steerable fore fins arranged symmetrically with respect to the longitudinal axis. Further the board can be provided with a seat comprising a pit formed in the upper side, such that the operator will sit with his/her posterior submerged in the board. The invention further relates to an arrangement comprising a monoboard according to the invention and a kite. |
