Welding line for welding metal tube

A welding line for a metal tube incorporates a) some means for deforming a strip into a tube; b) a welding laser with its maximum power adapted to the maximum speed of the tube through the processing line and being able to function selectively in impulse or continuous modes; c) a drive train for the strip and the tube; and d) an instantaneous speed sensor for the tube. The laser (6) is coupled to a detector (17) of the threshold speed of the tube (1) and to an associated control system (18,19), in order for it to function by impulse mode with a constant threshold power and an impulse frequency controlled proportionally to the instantaneous speed of the tube, if this speed is less than the threshold and in a continuous mode with a power proportional to the instantaneous speed when the threshold speed is attained.
