A cooking appliance comprising a catalytic burner (1) consisting of at least one device (2) for preparing a combustion mixture (7), at least one mixture distribution chamber (8), and a catalytic combustion assembly (9) through which the mixture passes; a thermal receptor (10) spaced from the catalytic combustion assembly (9), extending over virtually all of the surface thereof, and arranged and designed to dissipate outwardly at least part of the heat energy radiated and/or convected from said catalytic burner (1); and a control device (11) for controlling the aeration rate of the combustion mixture (7) depending on the flow rate of the fuel gas (3), which flow rate is manually and separately controlled by means of a valve (4). Said control device controls the forced combustion air flow (5) provided by a fan (6) in such a way that, during normal operation, it increases when the fuel gas flow rate increases, and conversely decreases when the fuel gas flow rate decreases. |
