Protective hood for circular saw, with end suction connection

A suction fan is attached to the connection (15) at the rear end of the circular saw for sucking up chippings and or saw dust. A first flow-guide plate (5) extends backwards from one chippings-inlet opening (30) on the front to the connection. A second flow guide plate (9) extends upwards near the rear side from a back chippings-inlet part (31) to the connection. The end parts (5',9') of the flow guide plates near the connection lead as far as the connection's entry part (15') so that the flow (8,16) in the flow ducts (4,40) laterally defined by the two flow guide plates open out into the connection parallel with each other.
