<p>An electrical connector (10) for coupling to an insulated electrical conductor (28, 30) includes an insulated housing (11) having a threaded bore (15) therein, which bore (15) has a tapered portion (17) therein. An electrical conductive prong (18) has two end portions with one end portion attached to the housing (11) and having a second end portion protruding axially into the housing bore (15) for receiving the end of an insulated electrical conductor (28, 30). A threaded compression collar (21) is threadedly attached in the bore (15) and has a bore extending axially therethrough for insertion of a wire (28, 30) therethrough and into the housing (11) bore (15) and onto the pointed prong (18) extending thereinto.</p> |
