The present invention relates to detergent compositions comprising a specific lipolytic enzyme and a surfactant system wherein the anionic to nonionic surfactants weight ratio is from 1:1 to 5:1, preferably from 1:1 to 3:1. Such compositions provide improved overall detergency performance: reduced redeposition of greasy/oily substances on fabrics, dishware and hard surfaces thereby enhancing whiteness maintenance, cleaning, spotting, filming and stain removal performances.
