Cleaning components of electron tubes esp. tubes with metallic vacuum housing, e.g. X=ray tubes

The method cleans components (5) of electron tubes which are for use in a vacuum. The surface (MF) of the component (5) to be cleaned is sprayed with a jet of high pressure fluid. The fluid preferably has a pressure in the order of 100 bar. The fluid is preferably water. The surface to be cleaned may be chromed esp. black chromed. The surface to be cleaned may be brushed before being sprayed with the water jet.
