Rail vehicle braking control system

A pneumatic rail vehicle brake control device (1) comprises several function-specific modules (2) each with its own brake function controller (5). The modules are linked mechanically and pneumatically by a single or multiple control system (3,4) designed as a multi-tube extruded profile as pneumatic bus, using in-module control lines (6) independent of the central air and control system (3,4) for signal transmission between the module controllers (5). Preferably air supply and control lines are geometrically grouped within the multi-tube profile. The respective module controllers may be flange-on components and the make-up of each module accords with the respective braking function. The module interfaces allow for various module combinations. This serves as a complete vehicle control system using in-module channels as control lines in a support plate.
