The metal flask (1) for shielding, transporting and/or storing neutron emitting articles arising from the nuclear industry has a layer of neutron-moderating material applied to the walls (2), floor (3) and lid (4). The neutron moderating material includes titanium hydride (TiH2) and boron carbide (BoC4). The flask (1) had outer (6) and inner (9) vessels, between which the neutron moderator (5) is located.
