Helical compression spring for suspension in vehicles

The spring is formed from one bar (1) having a circular cross-section which blends into a rectangular cross-section. The number of winds having a rectangular cross section is determined so that the working region of the spring is included with a part of the flat spring winds. The rectangular winds are locate at the start and/or end of the spring. The long sides of the winds having a rectangular cross section are located perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the spring. The diameter of the middle wind of the spring is chosen so that the winds roll over each other in a stable way.
