An elongate string (62) of sheet metal anchor clips (64) includes an end-to-end between a series of identical anchor clips disposed in a line, each clip including a flat base portion (90) between a forward, hook shaped end portion (98) and a downturned leg (88) which extends from a corner with the base portion, and a strip of flexible material (102) fixed to each one of the clips to form the string of end-to-end clips. The clip can have an adhesive on one side thereof for fixing the strip to each clip. Also the area which will become the hook shaped end portion can have a liner (96) inserted adjacent thereto from a direction which is substantially 90~ to a feed direction of partially formed clips, during the process of manufacturing the end-to-end string of clips. |
