Described are 3-alkoxypyridine-2-carboxylic acid amide esters of formula (I), wherein R<1>, R<2> and R<3> are hydrogen, R<4> is a (C1-C6) alkyl, A is a -CH2 group in which one hydrogen can be replaced by a methyl group, and B is -CO2G, where G is the radical of a GOH alcohol, including the physiologically effective salts; their preparation, their use in inhibiting collagen biosynthesis, and their use as drugs for treating fibrotic diseases. |
