The circuit-breaking device has a fuse (60) which is held between grippers (66,68) in a drawer (14) with a locking device cooperating during insertion with a stop to secure the drawer in a safe intermediate position when an attempt is made to close the door. The drawer can be moved through an opening (20) in the housing between positions corresponding to closure and opening of the isolator (64). To lock the drawer, a rectilinear tongue having an oblique tip slides into contact with a parallel guidance rib. Release of the locked drawer requires a preliminary movement urging the lock towards an inactive state.
