RESIN COMPOSITION FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC TONER, AND TONER COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin for an electrophotographic toner and a toner which show excellent offset resistance, excellent blocking resistance and resistance against stress in a developing machine and can be fixed at a low temp. in a thermal pressure fixing method by using heat rollers and the like. SOLUTION: The binder resin compsn. of this electrophotographic toner compsn. contains at least a high mol.wt. ethylene-type polymer component (H) and a low mol.wt. ethylene-type polymer component (L). The component (H) consists of two kinds of polymer components (H1) and (H2). The component (H1) has 20×10<4> to 80×10<4> Mw (weight average mol.wt.) and 45 to 55 deg.C Tg1 (glass transition temp.) and the polymer component (H2) has 5×10<4> to 40×10<4> Mw and 50 to 65 deg.C Tg2. The component (L) has 3000 to 50000 Mw and 40 to 80 deg.CTg3. The weight ratio of H1 to H2 is 0.5 to 15.0, while the weight ratio of components (H) to (L) is 10:90 to 90:10.
