PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape reel holding mechanism in a parts feeder device which can reduce the width of the parts feeder device. SOLUTION: A tape reel 54 is provided with a core 68 and a pair of circular flanges 70 and 71 formed at the both ends of the core 68 and can wind a tape 52 with chips around the core 68. The tape reel 54 is rotatably held on a reel holding surface 60a of a reel plate 60. The holding mechanism is placed with protrusion on the reel holding surface 60a and along the perimeter of the flange and is provided with one or more guide bodies 14b for holding the tape reel 54 on the reel holding surface 60a which are in contact with the perimeter of the flange 70 on the side of the reel holding surface 60a. At least one of the guide bodies 14b is engaged in an inner wall 70a of the flange 70 for preventing the tape reel 54 from inclining from the reel holding surface 60a.
