<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dimming device applicable to dimming control based on respective functions of plural studios, smoothly back it up when failure is generated, and reduce cost. SOLUTION: A dimming control means 41 performs an operating process based on an operation signal from an operation part 4 or an external dimming data input terminal 47 to generate a dimming control signal to be provided to a dimmer 8. In the case where a device 40 is replaced by a normal device of the same constitution because of abnormality in the dimming control means 41, a discrimination signal indicating a studio selected by a user through an applied studio changing means 44 is supplied to a discrimination determination means 45, so a studio is determined based on the discrimination signal to be provided to a control part 42. In a memory part of the control part 42, data for dimming based on functions of plural studios is memorized, the studio is recognized based on result of determination, and applicable data in the memory part is read to generate the dimming control signal to be outputted. Back-up functions except for emergency cases can thus be achieved, and cost can be reduced because of contraction of circuit scale.</p> |
