<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the safety by providing a grip bar on which a rugged surface of a lattice pattern is formed on an outer circumferential surface of a synthetic resin covered layer provided on the circumference of a metallic pipe. SOLUTION: A handrail comprises a pair of holders 1 to be fixed to a wall, and a grip bar 2 to be held by the holders 1. The bar 2 comprises a synthetic resin inner skin layer to cover the outer circumferential surface of a metallic pipe, and an outer skin layer 5 formed on the circumference thereof, a projected bar of the pattern of the diamond lattice shape is swollen out of the surface of the layer 5 by spirally winding a plurality of wires 6 of large diameter between layers, and the diamond is of the size of a part to which a human fingertip is placed. Thus, even when the fingertip is placed on the circumferential surface of the bar 2 in any direction, the fingertip can be hooked to the projected bar, or the fingertip can be firmly pushed in the diamond part. The grip bar can surely be held without generating any slip both in the circumferential direction and in the axial direction, and the handrail can be fixed to the wall in the desired attitude.</p> |
