PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To send out image information desirable for a viewer in a program sent out for each channel corresponding to the operation of channel selection of that viewer by displaying the respective contents of that program on a terminal display device. SOLUTION: In addition to respective contents shot by video cameras 1a-1m installed at the stadium, a VHF/UHF television broadcasting program received by a ground wave reception facility 8, satellite broadcasting program received by a satellite wave reception facility 9 and the video signals of a program recorded in a recording medium 10 are inputted to an editor 2 at a cable television station 15. A head end 3 simultaneously sends out the respective contents to a cable 6. Concerning a display device 5a of terminal equipment 4a, the peripheral part of its display screen is divided into a prescribed number of small picture areas so that the contents can be displayed. When the viewer selects a prescribed small picture, the contents of the selected channel are displayed at the central part of display screen of the display device 5a.
